Offline AI meeting recorder

Offline AI meeting recorder with encrypted local vault.

Noter Vault is dedicated room hardware for confidential meetings. It captures audio locally, transcribes on-device with state-of-the-art speech recognition, creates structured notes, and stores the record in an AES-256-GCM encrypted device vault.

Short answer

Built for meetings where a cloud scribe does not belong.

No cloud account required. No cloud upload required for transcription, structured notes, or Theia. No Wi-Fi hardware in production devices. No telemetry at all. Your Noter Vault device shares no meeting content, transcripts, prompts, usage data, or device activity with anyone - not even Noter - unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Engineering

How the room workflow is engineered

Each step above is built on purpose-engineered on-device systems, not a generic transcription wrapper. What separates Noter Vault is the engineering between capture and the encrypted record.

Recognition tuned to the meeting

Before capture starts, Noter Vault primes its on-device speech recognition with the meeting context: glossary terms, expected speakers, hotwords, and prior session continuity. Recognition adapts to the room, not a generic vocabulary.

Split capture and inference

Audio capture and AI inference run as separate on-device processes. The capture pipeline buffers audio independently of the recognition workload, so the device stays responsive throughout long meetings.

Transcript hygiene safeguards

Multiple on-device gates strip prompt leaks, suppress duplicates, reject noise artefacts, and discard subtitle and caption junk before any transcript reaches the structured note.

Evidence-bound, session-grounded Theia

Theia answers only from the meeting record loaded in the vault. Templates source-quote the underlying transcript, prompts are fenced, and unsupported answers are flagged rather than fabricated.

Best for

Where Noter Vault fits

The product is not trying to be another general meeting bot. It is for rooms and workflows where control, locality, and a deliberate export boundary matter.

Legal and privileged work

Client interviews, witness preparation, shareholder disputes, matter strategy, and other meetings where external cloud handling can create unacceptable risk.

Boards and executives

Board meetings, in-camera sessions, offsites, and decision records that should remain under the organisation control.

Investigations and compliance

Internal investigations, HR interviews, governance reviews, and regulated workflows that need a defensible record without cloud upload.

Advisory teams

Private offices, wealth advisers, tax advisers, and consultants who need structured notes for sensitive client conversations.

Product proof

The software, the transcript, and Theia stay in one private workflow.

Noter Vault combines room setup, participant context, local transcript evidence, structured notes, Theia answers, vault browsing, and controlled exports in one desktop experience.

No. Noter Vault does not require a cloud account for setup or use. The product is designed around local processing and an encrypted device vault.

What can users export?
